Weekend in Manhattan

Manhattan is a city I have become very familiar with over the years. My older sister moved there while I was in Middle School and I have been lucky enough to visit her every year at different seasons throughout the years. (Actually at one point, I had 2 sisters living in New York City!) It makes such a huge difference when you take a trip and you know someone who lives in that particular city or town- it just makes it that much more enjoyable when you have a local who can recommend places to go or unique sites to see. Recently Brandon and I spent a weekend in Manhattan and we had the most relaxing time. We didn’t do any of the typical tourist attractions- we just spent some quality time with my sister and her family which includes a brand new baby! Aside from missing the train on the way there, we had such a refreshing experience together. My biggest disappointment was not being able to taste a cronut. (Next time!) Below are some photos I thought I would share with you from our trip.

^ One of my favorite photos from this trip- I think my sister looks like a celebrity sighting here.

Of course, what would a trip to Manhattan be without a shopping trip? I got a few new things at Banana Republic (you can see my new shirt here) and I found a really amazing thrift store right around the corner from my sister. Can’t wait to show you what I got there!
