Weekend Getaway

This weekend was a much needed getaway for my husband and me.  Sometimes the hustle bustle of life can get in the way of enjoying the simpler things that this world has to offer.  So every year we decide to take a small weekend getaway and refresh our bodies and minds before the craziness of fall and winter take over.

One of the many goals my husband and I have is to be a member of the 46er Club- to climb all 46 of the Adirondack high peaks.  This past weekend we climbed two! It was both amazing and exhilarating. Along with hiking, we also enjoyed a private horseback riding tour, and kayak rides on the lake.  The entire weekend was a breath of fresh air and I recommend that you visit the Adirondack area, especially Lake Placid.
