Wedding (Navy) Blues

Elegance in the front with a peek-a-boo in the back.

We are officially in full swing of the 2017 wedding season! Brandon and I are invited to 5 weddings this year. Needless to say, I got a feelin’ that we will celebrate good times and party like it’s 1999 until the end of the year!

Two weeks ago, Brandon and I attended the wedding of a close high school friend. Three weeks ago we attended the wedding of another friend and former colleague of mine. Rather than purchase 2 separate dresses for each event, I wore this elegant navy blue dress to both occasions. (The weddings were in towns two hours apart, so no crossover of guests.)

I was flipping through the racks at Marshall’s looking for a dress when I found this. I knew I wanted navy blue so I could coordinate with Brandon’s suit. (Because we’re cute like that). What I love about this is it’s not too form fitting, so I have room to eat haha. The lacy scalloped edge at the bottom is adorable, but what sold me was the back. I adore the way it’s turns to a “V” in the back and connects at the top. The lacy look is actually very similar to this dress I wore for my sister’s wedding.

The brand/designer of this dress is Vince Camuto. Of course, I couldn’t find the same one anywhere online. (That’s the downside of Marshall’s!) But I found several other similar ones by the same designer here, here and here.  I also found another adorable navy off the shoulder dress (with stripes) that I will be wearing to a wedding in Myrtle Beach later this year. I’ll be sharing that one with you in the future!

Cheers to weddings!!
