This Past Week: March 14, 2014

Mar 14, 2014Archives, Personal

Wow it’s been another heck of a week.  Let’s just say by Wednesday night, it all went down hump from there. (Get it? Wednesday is hump day…)

This past week I spent Monday afternoon with my two favorite boys 5 and under. I love beginning my week with my nephews (and baby niece!) because they are so energetic, hilarious and fun! I’m always greeted by the older boy who engages me in some sort of game like Lego’s or trains as he tells me about his day at school.  Then it’s my joy to wake up the younger brother (age 3) from his nap. He’s usually grumpy, but we snuggle the grumps away before having a snack then going to play more trains.

Wednesday evening, Brandon and I were invited over to our friend’s house for dinner and they were serving craw fish as part of the meal. I have to admit, I was apprehensive at first, but I tried them and it turns out they were amazing! It tastes a lot like lobster, but you only eat the tail. If you like seafood, I highly recommend trying them!

Wednesday night hit me like a ton of bricks and I started feeling sick again.  The next day I went to see the doctor and found out it I had a fever, strep throat and an ear infection! Ugh. Today I am home sick on the couch, resting.  I’m disappointed because I don’t like laying around when I could be busy doing something productive, but I know I need to listen to my body, relax and let the antibiotic do it’s job.

What are you up to this weekend?
