There is something about Independence Day that makes me stop and say a prayer thanking God that I was born in a free country. With all the craziness going on in the world around us, it truly is a blessing that we can walk outside freely, without worrying about our safety. Independence Day has a way of bringing me down to earth and humbling me. I had no control over where I would be born, and yet here I am freely living my life. I am so grateful to live in this country.
Today I will be spending time with my family on the lake, sipping on cool drinks, working on a sewing project, riding on the boat and enjoying the quietness and freedom that the USA has to offer. I hope you have a wonderful Independence Day and a fabulous weekend.
