Blogging Confession

I have to admit something to you. If you’ve been reading my blog for a while now, you know that I am totally inconsistent with when I publish new posts. I try really hard to have a routine, to make a set of goals for my blog every week but without fail, I fail. I don’t have children to take up my time so I should have no excuses, right? But the truth is, sometimes I feel insecure about my blog and struggle to keep up with it in addition to everything else I’ve got going on in my life. I guess it’s just part of our human nature to have insecurity and compare ourselves to others, even though we all know that’s not a healthy way to live. We all have those types of moments in our life right? (If you don’t, then you are a superhuman) These are my honest thoughts and what I feel occasionally and I don’t want to appear like I have it all together. (I even struggled with whether or not to post this confession!)

I like to leave my posts with something for readers to take away with so I will end with this: No matter where you are in life- a teenager preparing for big steps next year, a recent college grad searching for a job, a stay at home mom wrestling with stubborn children, or at the lake enjoying your retirement- it’s important to remember that everyone struggles. The person ringing up your groceries, the representative at customer service helping you over the phone, the person who makes your coffee, the person teaching your child at school- we all struggle. If we are aware of this about others, maybe then our own struggles won’t seem as monumental.

Come on now, we are all in this together. xo
