I find great pleasure in taking an everyday household item meant for a specific purpose, and turning it into something cute to use as a beauty or decorative item. When my husband and I first moved into our apartment, I was constantly looking for cute but inexpensive ways to decorate that were also functional. Today, you will see three kitchen items that can be re-purposed for your vanity and beauty products.
1). Use a sugar shaker as a cotton swab dispenser on your vanity table. 
2). Use a platter, like this one, with a matching dip bowl as a catch all for bobby pins and jewelry next to the bathroom sink. Learn how to make the bobby pins below here.

3). Use a mounted paper towel holder to display bracelets.
